January 19, 2024: Hinesburg, VT 05461 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Champlain Valley Union Redhawks (Hinesburg, VT) and the visiting Rice Memorial Green Knights (South Burlington, VT), saw Champlain Valley Union's basketball squad wallop Rice Memorial by a tally of 70-32.
With the victory, Champlain Valley Union improves its record to 9-0 on the campaign. The Redhawks travel to Essex (Essex Junction, VT) to confront the Hornets in a Metro challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 8-3. Essex won 51-37 in their recent non-league challenge against Mt. Mansfield (Jericho, VT)
Next up, the Green Knights confront the South Burlington Wolves (South Burlington, VT) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. Rice Memorial will attempt to improve on its 1-8 season record. The Wolves come into the challenge with a 0-8 record after their 74-28 non-league loss to St. Johnsbury Academy (St. Johnsbury, VT).
