The North Mecklenburg Vikings basketball team scored 84 points and held the host West Charlotte Lions to 22 in the Vikings league triumph on Friday.

The Vikings now sport a 14-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hough for a 3A/4A Queen City contest on Friday, January 26. North Mecklenburg will battle a Huskies team coming off a 63-11 league win over Hopewell (Huntersville, NC). The Huskies record now stands at 11-6.

The Lions (6-10) will now prepare for their contest against Harding University (Charlotte, NC). The Rams enter the 3A/4A Queen City contest with a 1-10 record. In their last contest, Harding University triumphed over West Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC), 45-30, in a league contest.
