Fans at Friday's league challenge between the E.L. Haynes (Washington, DC) and the host BASIS Red Giants (Washington, DC), saw E.L. Haynes's basketball squad overcome BASIS by a tally of 82-72.

With the victory, E.L. Haynes improves its record to 8-9 on the campaign. The host Capital City Public Charter School (Washington, DC) to battle the EAGLES in a PCSAA A contest on Tuesday, January 24. The EAGLES come into the contest with a record of 4-10. Capital City Public Charter School lost 59-44 in their recent league contest against DC International (Washington, DC)

The Red Giants (1-10) will now prepare for their contest against Idea (Washington, DC). The Timberwolves come into the PCSAA A contest with a 15-5 record. In their last contest, Idea prevailed over Washington Leadership Academy (Washington, DC), 84-49, in a league contest.
