California High School Basketball - Burney ripped by Portola

January 20, 2023: Portola, CA 96122

The Portola Tigers basketball team scored 88 points and held the visiting Burney Raiders to 31 in the Tigers league triumph on Friday.

The Tigers now sport a 12-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Foresthill for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 21. Portola will battle a Wildfires team coming off a 61-51 league loss to Sacramento Waldorf (Fair Oaks, CA). The Wildfires record now stands at 11-10.

The Raiders (2-13) will now prepare for their contest against Chester (Chester, CA). The Volcanoes enter the Five Star contest with a 9-8 record. In their last contest, Chester was routed by Redding Christian (Palo Cedro, CA), 50-35, in a league contest.
