Texas High School Basketball - Neches overwhelms Centerville
January 20, 2023: Neches, TX 75779 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Neches Tigers (Neches, TX) and the visiting Centerville Bulldogs (Groveton, TX), saw Neches's basketball squad wallop Centerville by a tally of 64-36.
With the victory, Neches improves its record to 17-8 on the campaign. The Tigers host Martinsville (Martinsville, TX) to play the Pirates in a 1A Region IV District 27 challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Pirates come into the challenge with a record of 21-4. Martinsville won 96-35 in their recent league challenge against Slocum (Elkhart, TX)
Next up, the Bulldogs play the Laneville Yellowjackets (Laneville, TX) in a 1A Region IV District 27 challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. Centerville will attempt to improve on its 6-14 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a 11-6 record after their 65-47 league win over Kennard (Kennard, TX).
