January 20, 2023: Irrigon, OR 97844 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Weston-McEwen TigerScots (Athena, OR) and the host Irrigon Knights (Irrigon, OR), saw Weston-McEwen's basketball squad wallop Irrigon by a tally of 79-39.
With the victory, Weston-McEwen improves its record to 9-8 on the campaign. The TigerScots host Grant Union (John Day, OR) to confront the Prospectors in a 2A Blue Mountain challenge on Saturday, January 21. The Prospectors come into the challenge with a record of 6-9. Grant Union lost 61-41 in their recent league challenge against Stanfield (Stanfield, OR)
Next up, the Knights confront the Heppner Mustangs (Heppner, OR) in a 2A Blue Mountain challenge, on Saturday, January 21. Irrigon will attempt to improve on its 3-13 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 12-4 record after their 64-22 league win over Enterprise (Enterprise, OR).
