January 20, 2023: Sandy Spring, MD 20860 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Sherwood Warriors (Sandy Spring, MD) and the visiting Magruder Colonels (Rockville, MD), saw Sherwood's basketball squad overcome Magruder by a tally of 60-48.
With the victory, Sherwood improves its record to 11-3 on the campaign. The Warriors host Poolesville (Poolesville, MD) to confront the Falcons in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 5-8. Poolesville lost 54-53 in their recent non-league challenge against Whitman (Bethesda, MD)
Next up, the Colonels confront the Wheaton Knights (Silver Spring, MD) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. Magruder will attempt to improve on its 8-5 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 3-10 record after their 81-59 non-league loss to Kennedy (Silver Spring, MD).
