The River Valley Panthers (Blairsville, PA) basketball knocked off the host Marion Center Stingers (Marion Center, PA), 53-42 in Friday's league test.

The Panthers (11-5) will now prepare for their test against United (Armagh, PA). The Lions go into the Heritage test with a 15-1 record. In their last test, United notched a victory over Conemaugh Township (Davidsville, PA), 56-54, in a non-league test.

The Stingers now own a 3-13 record. They play next when they travel to West Shamokin for a Heritage test on Tuesday, January 24. Marion Center will encounter a Wolves squad coming off a 52-41 league win over Northern Cambria (Northern Cambria, PA). The Wolves record now stands at 5-10.
