Maine High School Basketball - Penobscot Valley tops Piscataquis
January 20, 2023: Guilford, ME 04443 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Penobscot Valley Howlers (Howland, ME) and the host Piscataquis Pirates (Guilford, ME), saw Penobscot Valley's basketball squad knock off Piscataquis by a tally of 43-28.
With the victory, Penobscot Valley improves its record to 6-6 on the campaign. The Howlers travel to Penquis Valley (Milo, ME) to play the Patriots in a C North challenge on Monday, January 23. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 5-5. Penquis Valley lost 67-46 in their recent league challenge against Lee Academy (Lee, ME)
Next up, the Pirates play the Stearns Minutemen (Millinocket, ME) in a C North challenge, on Monday, January 23. Piscataquis will attempt to improve on its 5-6 season record. The Minutemen come into the challenge with a 3-6 record after their 63-55 league loss to Dexter (Dexter, ME).
