Salamanca Warriors (Salamanca, NY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Southwestern Trojans (Jamestown, NY), 57-52 in a league bout.

With the win, Salamanca upgrades its record to 10-2 on the season. The Warriors travel to Clymer Central (Clymer, NY) to clash with the Pirates in a non-league bout on Sunday, January 22. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 10-2. Clymer Central won 50-35 in their recent league bout against Brocton (Brocton, NY)

Next up, the Trojans clash with the Randolph Cardinals (Randolph, NY) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Southwestern will attempt to upgrade on its 6-6 season record. The Cardinals go into the bout with a 10-2 record after their 81-28 league win over Cassadaga Valley (Sinclairville, NY).
