In Friday's league match, the host The Colony Cougars basketball team scored a good 50-31 triumph over the Reedy Lions.

In their next game, the Cougars face the Creekview Mustangs (Carrollton, TX) in a 5A Region II District 9 match, on Tuesday, January 24. The Colony will attempt to move on its 20-9 season record. The Mustangs enter the match with a 7-7 record after their 75-31 league win over Turner (Carrollton, TX).

With the defeat, Reedy moves to 14-14 on the year. The Lions travel to Newman Smith (Carrollton, TX) to face the Trojans in a 5A Region II District 9 match on Tuesday, January 24. The Trojans enter the match with a record of 9-16. Newman Smith won 34-30 in their recent league match against Wakeland (Frisco, TX)
