New Jersey High School Basketball - Newton can't hold off West Milford
January 20, 2024: Newton, NJ 07860 The West Milford Highlanders basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the host Newton Braves to 52 in the Highlanders non-league victory on Saturday.
The Highlanders now sport a 6-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wayne Hills for a Big North - Independence contest on Tuesday, January 23.
The Braves (3-11) will now prepare for their contest against Vernon (Vernon, NJ). The Vikings come into the non-league contest with a 8-5 record. In their last contest, Vernon edged Parsippany Hills (Parsippany, NJ), 62-53, in a non-league contest.
