Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Bucktail thwarts Austin
January 20, 2025: Austin, PA 16720 The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Bucktail Bucks (Farwell, PA) and the host Austin Panthers (Austin, PA), observed Bucktail's basketball team knock off Austin by a score of 55-47.
The Bucks (4-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Juniata Christian (McAlisterville, PA). The come into the non-league challenge with a 0-9 record. In their last challenge, Juniata Christian dropped by Meadowbrook Christian (Milton, PA), 49-18, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Panthers battle the Cameron County Raiders (Emporium, PA) in a North Tier challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Austin will attempt to improve on its 3-10 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 10-1 record after their 74-70 non-league win over DuBois Central Catholic (DuBois, PA).
