R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Chase Trojans (Forest City, NC), 79-43 in a league match.

With the victory, R-S Central advances its record to 9-7 on the year. The Hilltoppers travel to Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC) to face the Bearcats in a 1A/2A Mountain Foothills 7 match on Friday, January 24. The Bearcats enter the match with a record of 12-6. Hendersonville won 85-65 in their recent league match against Patton (Morganton, NC)
