In Tuesday's league test, the North Wilkes Vikings (Hays, NC) basketball squad trounced the host North Surry Greyhounds (Mount Airy, NC), by a score of 65-37.

Next, the Vikings encounter the East Surry Cardinals (Pilot Mountain, NC) in a 2A Foothills test, on Friday, January 24. North Wilkes will attempt to improve on its 15-1 season record. The Cardinals come into the test with a 13-3 record after their 57-55 league win over Surry Central (Dobson, NC).

The Greyhounds (11-4) will now prepare for their test against Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC). The Eagles come into the 2A Foothills test with a 2-14 record. In their last test, Wilkes Central was routed by Forbush (East Bend, NC), 67-3, in a league test.
