The Wilkes Central Eagles basketball squad (Wilkesboro, NC), was crushed 57-11 in Wednesday's league battle with the visiting North Wilkes Vikings (Hays, NC)

With the victory, North Wilkes advances its record to 18-1 on the year. The Vikings host West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC) to meet the Blackhawks in a 2A Foothills battle on Friday, January 31. The Blackhawks enter the battle with a record of 6-12. West Wilkes lost 54-40 in their recent league battle against Forbush (East Bend, NC)
