Sutton Mustangs (Sutton, NE) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Thayer Central Titans (Hebron, NE), 45-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Sutton upgrades its record to 10-5 on the season. The Mustangs host Milford (Milford, NE) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 7-6. Milford lost 74-38 in their recent non-league bout against Beatrice (Beatrice, NE)

Next up, the Titans play the Tri County Trojans (DeWitt, NE) in a C2 District 2 bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Thayer Central will attempt to upgrade on its 10-3 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 6-8 record after their 44-41 non-league win over Fillmore Central (Geneva, NE).
