January 22, 2024: Nottoway, VA 23930 The Nottoway Cougars basketball team scored 48 points and held the visiting Randolph-Henry Statesmen to 38 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Monday.
The Cougars now sport a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Buckingham for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 23. Nottoway will meet a Knights team coming off a 55-17 non-league win over Lunenburg Central (Victoria, VA). The Knights record now stands at 6-4.
The Statesmen (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Lunenburg Central (Victoria, VA). The Chargers enter the non-league contest with a 0-10 record. In their last contest, Lunenburg Central was outscored by Prince Edward County (Farmville, VA), 41-23, in a non-league contest.
