Virginia High School Basketball - Nottoway nudges Lunenburg Central
January 3, 2024: Nottoway, VA 23930 Nottoway Cougars (Nottoway, VA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Lunenburg Central Chargers (Victoria, VA), 2-0 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Nottoway upgrades its record to 4-4 on the season. The Cougars travel to Prince Edward County (Farmville, VA) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 5-1. Prince Edward County won 60-56 in their recent non-league bout against Buckingham (Buckingham, VA)
Next up, the Chargers clash with the Cumberland Dukes (Cumberland, VA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 5. Lunenburg Central will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record. The Dukes go into the bout with a 1-4 record after their 40-32 non-league loss to Amelia County (Amelia Court House, VA).
