In Wednesday's league contest, the visiting Galena Grizzlies basketball team scored a close 51-45 triumph over the McQueen Lancers.

The Grizzlies (8-13) will now prepare for their contest against Spanish Springs (Sparks, NV). The Cougars go into the 4A Northern contest with a 14-5 record. In their last contest, Spanish Springs nipped Carson (Carson City, NV), 52-27, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Lancers battle the Bishop Manogue Miners (Reno, NV) in a 4A Northern contest, on Friday, January 24. McQueen will attempt to improve on its 3-17 season record. The Miners come into the challenge with a 11-10 record after their 51-42 league win over Douglas (Minden, NV).
