The Duncan Wildkats basketball squad (Duncan, AZ), was nudged 54-50 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host San Simon Longhorns (San Simon, AZ)

With the victory, San Simon improves its record to 8-13 on the season. The Longhorns host Superior (Superior, AZ) to encounter the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 24. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 4-11. Superior lost 51-25 in their recent league challenge against Valley Lutheran (Phoenix, AZ)

In their next game, the Wildkats encounter the Hayden Lobos (Winkelman, AZ) in a 1A East challenge, on Tuesday, January 27. Duncan will attempt to improve on its 9-10 season record. The Lobos come into the challenge with a 14-5 record after their 69-50 non-league win over Baboquivari (Sells, AZ).
