In Wednesday's non-league contest, the host San Manuel Miners basketball team scored a close 48-46 triumph over the San Simon Longhorns.

The Miners (2-14) will now prepare for their contest against Patagonia (Patagonia, AZ). The Lobos go into the non-league contest with a 11-12 record. In their last game, Patagonia nipped North Phoenix Preparatory Academy (Phoenix, AZ), 63-54, in a non-league game.

With the loss, San Simon falls to 9-14 on the campaign. The Longhorns travel to North Phoenix Preparatory Academy (Phoenix, AZ) to confront the Gladiators in a non-league game on Friday, January 30. The Gladiators go into the game with a record of 7-12. North Phoenix Preparatory Academy lost 59-39 in their recent non-league outing against Superior (Superior, AZ)
