January 23, 2024: Valdese, NC 28690 The Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC) basketball nipped the visiting Owen Warhorses (Black Mountain, NC), 47-44 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Wildcats (1-9) will now prepare for their test against Avery County (Newland, NC). The Vikings go into the non-league test with a 6-5 record. In their last test, Avery County got by Rosman (Rosman, NC), 59-25, in a league test.
The Warhorses now own a 0-5 record. They play next when they travel to Avery County for a non-league test on Friday, January 26. Owen will encounter a Vikings squad coming off a 59-25 league win over Rosman (Rosman, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 6-5.
