In Thursday's league contest, the host A.C. Reynolds Rockets basketball team scored a big 77-53 win over the McDowell Titans.

The Rockets (9-7) will now prepare for their contest against North Buncombe (Weaverville, NC). The Black Hawks come into the 3A/4A Mountain contest with a 10-7 record. In their last contest, North Buncombe smashed Erwin (Asheville, NC), 88-68, in a league contest.
