January 23, 2025: Georgetown, IL 61846 Salt Fork Storm (Sidell, IL) supporters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Georgetown-Ridge Farm Buffaloes (Georgetown, IL), 37-28 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Salt Fork advances its record to 13-6 on the year. The Storm travel to Westville (Westville, IL) to face the Tigers in a Vermilion Valley match on Tuesday, January 28. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 19-3. Westville won 69-59 in their recent non-league match against Armstrong (Armstrong, IL)
The Buffaloes now own a 3-19 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Oakwood for a Vermilion Valley match on Tuesday, January 28. Georgetown-Ridge Farm will face a Comets squad coming off a 82-54 league win over Chrisman (Chrisman, IL). The Comets record now stands at 11-11.
