The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Preston Knights (Kingwood, WV) and the host North Marion Huskies (Farmington, WV), saw Preston's basketball team nip North Marion by a tally of 55-52.

The Knights now possess a 6-2 record. They play next when they travel to University for a non-league bout on Friday, January 24. Preston will play a Hawks team coming off a 58-52 non-league win over Parkersburg South (Parkersburg, WV). The Hawks record now stands at 9-2.

With the loss, North Marion falls to 2-6 on the campaign. The Huskies host Brooke (Wellsburg, WV) to play the Bruins in a Two Rivers bout on Tuesday, January 28. The Bruins go into the bout with a record of 2-8. Brooke lost 79-36 in their recent non-league bout against Ripley (Ripley, WV)
