The Buckhannon-Upshur Buccaneers (Buckhannon, WV) basketball edged the host Preston Knights (Kingwood, WV), 61-55 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Buccaneers now possess a 2-0 record. They play next when they host North Marion for a Big Ten bout on Thursday, December 19. Buckhannon-Upshur will play a Huskies team coming off a 55-47 non-league loss to St. Joseph Central (Huntington, WV). The Huskies record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Preston falls to 2-1 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Wheeling Park (Wheeling, WV) to play the Patriots in a non-league bout on Friday, December 20.
