The Lincoln Cougars basketball squad (Shinnston, WV), was crushed 76-48 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Preston Knights (Kingwood, WV)

With the victory, Preston advances its record to 9-5 on the year. The Knights host Elkins (Elkins, WV) to meet the Tigers in a Big Ten battle on Tuesday, February 11. The Tigers enter the battle with a record of 5-7.

The Cougars now own a 3-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Fairmont for a non-league battle on Saturday, February 8. Lincoln will meet a Bees squad coming off a 52-45 league win over Liberty (Clarksburg, WV). The Bees record now stands at 5-7.
