Millington Cardinals (Millington, MI) fans went home pleased Thursday as they observed their basketball team edge the visiting Caro Tigers (Caro, MI), 49-42 in a league challenge.

The Cardinals (2-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Genesee Christian (Burton, MI). The Soldiers come into the non-league challenge with a 10-1 record. In their last challenge, Genesee Christian edged Arbor Prep (Ypsilanti, MI), 27-21, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Tigers encounter the Bad Axe Hatchets (Bad Axe, MI) in a Greater Thumb - West challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Caro will attempt to improve on its 6-5 season record. The Hatchets come into the challenge with a 6-4 record after their 41-29 league loss to Unionville-Sebewaing (Sebewaing, MI).
