Georgia High School Basketball - Brentwood routs Westminster Christian Academy
January 24, 2023: Sandersville, GA 31082 In Tuesday's league outing, the Brentwood War Eagles (Sandersville, GA) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Westminster Christian Academy Lions (Watkinsville, GA), by a margin of 64-38.
The War Eagles (11-5) will now prepare for their outing against Gatewood (Eatonton, GA). The Gators go into the GIAA AA Region 2 outing with a 14-3 record. In their last outing, Gatewood smashed Piedmont Academy (Monticello, GA), 60-54, in a league outing.
The Lions now own a 2-14 record. They play next when they host Piedmont Academy for a GIAA AA Region 2 outing on Friday, January 27. Westminster Christian Academy will clash with a Cougars squad coming off a 76-29 non-league win over Central Georgia Arts (Macon, GA). The Cougars record now stands at 4-13.
