Georgia High School Basketball - Brentwood topples Westminster Christian Academy
February 3, 2023: Watkinsville, GA 30677 In Friday's league outing, the Brentwood War Eagles (Sandersville, GA) basketball squad beat the host Westminster Christian Academy Lions (Watkinsville, GA), by a margin of 57-49.
The War Eagles (12-7) will now prepare for their outing against Piedmont Academy (Monticello, GA). The Cougars go into the GIAA AA Region 2 outing with a 6-15 record. In their last outing, Piedmont Academy was topped by Briarwood Academy (Warrenton, GA), 60-54, in a non-league outing.
The Lions now own a 3-17 record. They play next when they travel to Gatewood for a GIAA AA Region 2 outing on Tuesday, February 7. Westminster Christian Academy will clash with a Gators squad coming off a 54-47 league win over Piedmont Academy (Monticello, GA). The Gators record now stands at 16-4.
