Georgia High School Basketball - Westminster Christian Academy overwhelmed by Gatewood
February 7, 2023: Eatonton, GA 31024 The Westminster Christian Academy Lions basketball team (Watkinsville, GA), was routed 66-45 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Gatewood Gators (Eatonton, GA)
The Gators now sport a 17-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Brentwood for a GIAA AA Region 2 battle on Friday, February 10. Gatewood will battle a War Eagles team coming off a 56-33 league win over Piedmont Academy (Monticello, GA). The War Eagles record now stands at 13-7.
The Lions (3-18) will now prepare for their battle against Piedmont Academy (Monticello, GA). The Cougars come into the GIAA AA Region 2 battle with a 6-16 record. In their last battle, Piedmont Academy was routed by Brentwood (Sandersville, GA), 56-33, in a league battle.
