Virginia High School Basketball - Nansemond River fells Indian River
January 24, 2023: Suffolk, VA 23434 Nansemond River Warriors (Suffolk, VA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Indian River Braves (Chesapeake, VA), 72-62 in a league bout.
With the win, Nansemond River upgrades its record to 10-4 on the season. The Warriors travel to Grassfield (Chesapeake, VA) to clash with the Grizzlies in a Southeastern bout on Friday, January 27. The Grizzlies go into the bout with a record of 5-8. Grassfield lost 73-42 in their recent non-league bout against Salem (Virginia Beach, VA)
Next up, the Braves clash with the Booker T. Washington Mighty Bookers (Norfolk, VA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 25. Indian River will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Mighty Bookers go into the bout with a 8-4 record after their 59-50 league loss to Lake Taylor (Norfolk, VA).
