Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, IL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Ridgeview Mustangs (Colfax, IL), 60-50 in a league bout.

With the triumph, Lexington moves its record to 20-5 on the year. The Minutemen host Tri-Valley (Downs, IL) to face the Vikings in a Heart of Illinois game on Friday, January 27. The Vikings enter the game with a record of 9-12. Tri-Valley lost 54-46 in their recent non-league game against Ridgeview (Colfax, IL)

With the defeat, Ridgeview moves to 7-17 on the year. The Mustangs host Fieldcrest (Minonk, IL) to face the Knights in a Heart of Illinois game on Friday, January 27. The Knights enter the game with a record of 17-6. Fieldcrest won 64-41 in their recent league game against Tremont (Tremont, IL)
