The Lexington Minutemen basketball team scored 69 points and held the host Deer Creek-Mackinaw Chiefs to 46 in the Minutemen league triumph on Friday.

The Minutemen now sport a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Eureka for a Heart of Illinois contest on Tuesday, December 6. Lexington will battle a Hornets team coming off a 78-59 non-league loss to Bloomington Central Catholic (Bloomington, IL). The Hornets record now stands at 3-1.

The Chiefs (0-4) will now prepare for their contest against Pleasant Plains (Pleasant Plains, IL). The Cardinals enter the non-league contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Pleasant Plains triumphed over Calvary (Springfield, IL), 79-42, in a non-league contest.
