The Crystal River Pirates (Crystal River, FL) basketball crushed the host Central Bears (Brooksville, FL), 62-30 in Tuesday's league test.

The Pirates (13-8) will now prepare for their test against Nature Coast Tech (Brooksville, FL). The Sharks go into the 4A District 9 test with a 12-5 record. In their last test, Nature Coast Tech walloped Lecanto (Lecanto, FL), 50-34, in a non-league test.

The Bears now own a 1-17 record. They play next when they travel to Gulf for a non-league test on Wednesday, January 25. Central will encounter a Buccaneers squad coming off a 55-19 non-league win over Tarpon Springs (Tarpon Springs, FL). The Buccaneers record now stands at 14-8.
