Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Fort Chiswell Pioneers (Max Meadows, VA) and the visiting Giles Spartans (Pearisburg, VA), saw Fort Chiswell's basketball squad wallop Giles by a tally of 84-40.

With the victory, Fort Chiswell improves its record to 11-6 on the campaign. The Pioneers travel to Auburn (Riner, VA) to confront the Eagles in a Mountain Empire challenge on Friday, January 27. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 9-10. Auburn lost 38-32 in their recent non-league challenge against Eastern Montgomery (Elliston, VA)

Next up, the Spartans confront the Narrows Green Waves (Narrows, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 25. Giles will attempt to improve on its 0-16 season record. The Green Waves come into the challenge with a 7-10 record after their 35-27 league loss to Eastern Montgomery (Elliston, VA).
