The Narrows Green Waves (Narrows, VA) basketball knocked off the visiting Giles Spartans (Pearisburg, VA), 58-49 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Green Waves (5-5) will now prepare for their test against Craig County (New Castle, VA). The Rockets go into the Pioneer test with a 0-6 record.

The Spartans now own a 0-9 record. They play next when they travel to Galax for a Mountain Empire test on Tuesday, January 10. Giles will encounter a Maroon Tide squad coming off a 48-40 league loss to Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA). The Maroon Tide record now stands at 6-6.
