The South Stokes Sauras basketball team scored 48 points and held the host Mount Airy Granite Bears to 34 in the Sauras league triumph on Tuesday.

The Sauras now sport a 12-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Wilkes for a contest on Friday, January 27. South Stokes will meet a Cardinals team coming off a 50-34 non-league win over Elkin (Elkin, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 10-5.

The Granite Bears (3-9) will now prepare for their contest against East Surry (Pilot Mountain, NC). The Cardinals enter the non-league contest with a 11-1 record. In their last contest, East Surry ran past North Surry (Mount Airy, NC), 53-38, in a league contest.
