Texas High School Basketball - San Jacinto Christian Academy can't get by Christ the King Cathedral
January 24, 2025: Lubbock, TX 79413 Christ the King Cathedral Golden Lions (Lubbock, TX) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting San Jacinto Christian Academy Patriots (Amarillo, TX), 57-50 in a league match.
With the victory, Christ the King Cathedral advances its record to 13-7 on the year. The Golden Lions travel to Kingdom Prep Academy (Lubbock, TX) to meet the Warriors in a TAPPS 2A District 1 match on Monday, January 27. The Warriors enter the match with a record of 8-9. Kingdom Prep Academy won 58-36 in their recent league match against San Jacinto Christian Academy (Amarillo, TX)
The Patriots now own a 11-19 record. They put it on the line next when they host Kingdom Prep Academy for a TAPPS 2A District 1 match on Saturday, January 25. San Jacinto Christian Academy will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 49-46 league loss to Southcrest Christian (Lubbock, TX). The Warriors record now stands at 7-8.
