January 18, 2025: Amarillo, TX 79110 Holy Cross Catholic Academy Mustangs (Amarillo, TX) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Christ the King Cathedral Golden Lions (Lubbock, TX), 87-36 in a league match.
With the victory, Holy Cross Catholic Academy upgrades its record to 21-3 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Ascension Academy (Amarillo, TX) to face the Cardinals in a TAPPS 2A District 1 match on Tuesday, January 21. The Cardinals enter the match with a record of 5-7. Ascension Academy lost 57-54 in their recent league match against Kingdom Prep Academy (Lubbock, TX)
The Golden Lions now sport a 12-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Holy Cross for a TAPPS 2A District 1 match on Tuesday, January 21. Christ the King Cathedral will face a Crusaders squad coming off a 57-24 league loss to San Jacinto Christian Academy (Amarillo, TX). The Crusaders record now stands at 4-7.
