In Friday's league test, the Giddings Buffaloes (Giddings, TX) basketball squad trounced the visiting Smithville Tigers (Smithville, TX), by a score of 66-19.

Next, the Buffaloes encounter the La Grange Leopards (La Grange, TX) in a 4A Region III District 22 test, on Tuesday, January 28. Giddings will attempt to improve on its 4-13 season record. The Leopards come into the test with a 19-8 record after their 68-41 league win over Bellville (Bellville, TX).

The Tigers (1-18) will now prepare for their test against Caldwell (Caldwell, TX). The Hornets come into the 4A Region III District 22 test with a 11-16 record. In their last test, Caldwell was routed by Navasota (Navasota, TX), 66-47, in a league test.
