Illinois High School Basketball - Stagg toppled by Lincoln-Way West
January 24, 2025: New Lenox, IL 60451 Lincoln-Way West Warriors (New Lenox, IL) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Stagg Chargers (Palos Hills, IL), 57-40 in a league match.
With the victory, Lincoln-Way West advances its record to 11-10 on the year. The Warriors host Lincoln-Way Central (New Lenox, IL) to face the Knights in a SouthWest Suburban match on Tuesday, January 28. The Knights enter the match with a record of 16-7. Lincoln-Way Central won 42-32 in their recent non-league match against Thornton Fractional South (Lansing, IL)
The Chargers now own a 0-20 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bradley-Bourbonnais for a SouthWest Suburban match on Tuesday, January 28. Stagg will face a Boilermakers squad coming off a 47-39 league win over Andrew (Tinley Park, IL). The Boilermakers record now stands at 13-7.
