The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Mesquite Wildcats (Gilbert, AZ) and the visiting Cactus Shadows Falcons (Cave Creek, AZ), observed Mesquite's basketball team overwhelm Cactus Shadows by a margin of 85-22.

The Wildcats (20-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Saguaro (Scottsdale, AZ). The Sabercats come into the 4A Desert Sky challenge with a 10-11 record. In their last challenge, Saguaro was trounced by St. Mary's (Phoenix, AZ), 65-59, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Falcons battle the Arcadia Titans (Phoenix, AZ) in a 4A Desert Sky challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Cactus Shadows will attempt to better on its 14-7 season record. The Titans come into the challenge with a 3-14 record after their 35-30 league win over Marcos de Niza (Tempe, AZ).
