Arizona High School Basketball - Desert Mountain ripped by Chaparral

The Chaparral Firebirds basketball team scored 53 points and held the host Desert Mountain Wolves to 17 in the Firebirds league triumph on Thursday.

The Firebirds now sport a 10-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Notre Dame Prep for a 5A Northeast Valley contest on Tuesday, January 31. Chaparral will battle a Saints team coming off a 61-57 league win over Cactus Shadows (Cave Creek, AZ). The Saints record now stands at 17-7.

The Wolves (1-14) will now prepare for their contest against Lake Havasu (Lake Havasu City, AZ). The Knights enter the non-league contest with a 0-16 record.
