Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Northwestern fells North East

January 26, 2023: North East, PA 16428

Northwestern Wildcats (Albion, PA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host North East Grape Pickers (North East, PA), 56-45 in a league bout.

With the win, Northwestern upgrades its record to 11-5 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Eisenhower (Russell, PA) to play the Knights in a District 10 Region 2 bout on Monday, January 30. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 6-3. Eisenhower lost 52-26 in their recent league bout against Seneca (Erie, PA)

Next up, the Grape Pickers play the Iroquois Braves (Erie, PA) in a District 10 Region 3 bout, on Monday, January 30. North East will attempt to upgrade on its 9-7 season record. The Braves go into the bout with a 4-9 record after their 37-30 non-league loss to Titusville (Titusville, PA).
