Blythewood Bengals (Blythewood, SC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Fort Mill Yellow Jackets (Fort Mill, SC), 51-46 in a league bout.

With the victory, Blythewood upgrades its record to 17-5 on the campaign. The Bengals travel to Nation Ford (Fort Mill, SC) to play the Falcons in a AAAAA Region 3 bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Falcons come into the bout with a record of 10-11. Nation Ford lost 56-54 in their recent league bout against Clover (Clover, SC)

Next up, the Yellow Jackets play the Rock Hill Bearcats (Rock Hill, SC) in a AAAAA Region 3 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Fort Mill will attempt to upgrade on its 13-9 season record. The Bearcats come into the bout with a 6-16 record after their 55-48 league loss to Spring Valley (Columbia, SC).
