Arkansas High School Basketball - Westside topped by Brookland
January 26, 2024: Jonesboro, AR 72404 The Brookland Bearcats basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the host Westside Warriors to 52 in the Bearcats league victory on Friday.
The Bearcats now sport a 19-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Highland for a 4A Region 3 contest on Tuesday, January 30. Brookland will battle a Rebels team coming off a 54-39 league loss to Forrest City (Forrest City, AR). The Rebels record now stands at 9-11.
The Warriors (13-5) will now prepare for their contest against Wynne (Wynne, AR). The Yellowjackets come into the 4A Region 3 contest with a 1-19 record. In their last contest, Wynne was defeated by Pocahontas (Pocahontas, AR), 81-63, in a league contest.
