In Friday's league outing, the Lejeune Devil Pups (Camp Lejeune, NC) basketball squad edged the visiting Jones Trojans (Trenton, NC), by a margin of 69-63.

The Devil Pups (8-9) will now prepare for their outing against Pamlico County (Bayboro, NC). The Hurricanes go into the 1A/2A Coastal Plains outing with a 10-8 record. In their last outing, Pamlico County held off Southside (Chocowinity, NC), 76-29, in a league outing.

The Trojans now own a 10-9 record. They play next when they host East Carteret for a 1A/2A Coastal Plains outing on Tuesday, January 30. Jones will clash with a Mariners squad coming off a 87-62 league win over Northside - Pinetown (Pinetown, NC). The Mariners record now stands at 12-7.
