New Mexico High School Basketball - La Cueva overwhelms Piedra Vista
January 26, 2024: Farmington, NM 87402 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the La Cueva Bears (Albuquerque, NM) and the host Piedra Vista Panthers (Farmington, NM), saw La Cueva's basketball squad wallop Piedra Vista by a tally of 77-45.
With the victory, La Cueva improves its record to 12-6 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Sandia (Albuquerque, NM) to play the Matadors in a 5A District 2 challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Matadors come into the challenge with a record of 11-7. Sandia won 60-45 in their recent league challenge against Eldorado (Albuquerque, NM)
Next up, the Panthers play the West Mesa Mustangs (Albuquerque, NM) in a 5A District 2 challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Piedra Vista will attempt to improve on its 5-13 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 11-6 record after their 51-49 league win over Farmington (Farmington, NM).
